YGAM s Mindful Resilience programme receives RSPH accreditation

The Young Gamers and Gamblers Education Trust (YGAM) has been commissioned by the Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH), followers its work to ameliorate inform wellness professionals virtually gambling harm.

YGAM’s ‘Mindful Resilience’ programme, developed inward cooperation with Betknowmore UK and Bournemouth University, functions as a specialist tool aimed at supporting healthcare professionals with gaming treatment. The programme equips GPs, nurses, pharmacists, social prescribers and mental health workers with the knowledge and selective information to help those at put on the line of gambling harm.

The programme was launched inwards 2021, with YGAM and Betknowmore UK teaming upwardly with academics from Bournemouth University.

The propose was to figure and set in motion a holistic preparation scheme, with input from psychologists and those who lived with the have of play problems. The programme also promotes signposting to the National Treatment Network and NHS for patients needing support.

Welcoming the accreditation, Caroline Gallagher, Director of Compliance & Quality Assurance, YGAM, commented: “The RSPH accreditation is significant because it demonstrates the training content and obstetrical delivery is of an exceptional standard, and brings trust and credibility for our audience.

“Since YGAM’s inception, we have had a relentless sharpen on main(a) evaluations and securing outside(a) accreditations for our work. This identification further evidences the grandness and benefits of quislingism when producing impactful resources.”

In gain to the accreditation, the programme also received a parliamentary pestle of approval recently, with Dr Rosena Alin-Khan MP, Shadow Minister for Mental Health, describing the connive as “pioneering.”

The RSPH has been providing accreditations since 1904, with trey types of services currently offered, namely: grooming accreditation, cause accreditation and university accreditation. Other accredited members include The Co-operative, Drinkaware and Citizens Advice.
